Curtis & Grace is a small Italian-American bistro bar in Palma’s Old Town, on Carrer de Santa Fe. It’s named for Curtistine, who is from Mississippi and is Kem’s grandmother, and Grazia, who is from Sicily and is Massi’s mother. The bar says it’s LGBTQ+ friendly.

Wings are the main draw, tossed in five sauces including Habanero Mango and Garlic Parmesan. Burgers are build-your-own, there’s a black bean patty for vegetarians, and the bartenders will make a cocktail to your taste, or a mocktail if you’re not drinking.

Friday is Fierce & Fries night, Saturday is hip-hop, R&B, funk and soul, and Sunday is Italo-pop and disco. It’s only open weekends and the room is small, so book through TheFork or WhatsApp.

Bar Flexas is a small gay bar and café on Carrer de la Llotgeta in Palma’s Old Town, in a space that dates back to 1944. The décor is vintage and retro, and the crowd is mostly locals with some visitors mixed in. The menu is tapas that changes through the year, with vegetarian and vegan options, and the drinks list covers cocktails and cava. It gets busy and tables fill up, so go early. It’s closed Sundays and Mondays.

Bar Michel is a gay bar and restaurant in Palma’s Ponent neighborhood, on Avinguda de Joan Miró. By day it works as a café and tapas spot, and at night it turns into a bar, with a terrace outside. The crowd is a mix of locals and visitors. The menu covers tapas boards and burgers, with vegetarian options, and the drinks list includes gin cocktails. It opens in the morning and is closed Sundays.

The2 is a gay pub in Palma that opened in October 2016, on Calle Pablo Iglesias just above the Avingudes, near Plaza de España. It calls itself a pub rather than a nightclub, so the focus is on drinks and socializing, with DJs and a themed drag show on Friday and Saturday nights. It also runs themed tardeos, the Spanish afternoon parties, for an earlier start. Everyone is welcome.
