Brighton Bear Weekend 2026 takes place from July 10 to July 13, bringing a fun, community-focused bear celebration to the UK’s most LGBTQ+ friendly seaside city.

The weekend kicks off on Thursday with a Quiz Night at the Nautilus Lounge, a laid-back way to meet fellow bears, cubs, and admirers. From Friday, things ramp up with the Welcome Party and Brighton Bear Contest at Dorset Gardens, complete with a lively outdoor setting, DJs, food stalls, and a friendly crowd. Later that night, the party continues at DUST with UpRoar clubbing, featuring popular DJs and a busy dancefloor.

Saturday is the heart of the weekend. The daytime Garden Party returns to Dorset Gardens with a festival feel, including the announcement of the Brighton Bear Weekend winner, community stalls, food vendors, and plenty of space to socialise. In the evening, the energy shifts indoors with pre-party drinks at Fallen Angel before heading out into Brighton’s gay nightlife.

Sunday offers a slower pace, starting with a traditional Sunday lunch at The Kemp. The weekend wraps up with Underbears at Nautilus Lounge.

Most events take place close to Brighton’s main gay area around Kemptown, so you are never far from the action. Venues like the Nautilus Lounge and Fallen Angel are within easy reach of other popular spots, making it easy to bar-hop and explore.
