Sitges Pride 2025: dates, parade and hotels
4 June 2025 - 8 June 2025
Sitges, Barcelona, Spain, Sitges, Spain

Sitges Pride 2025 takes over the sunny Mediterranean resort from Wednesday June 4 to Sunday June 8, 2025. This lively 5-day festival by the sea is all about celebrating LGBTQ+ life in a laid-back beach town known for its bohemian flair. The whole village joins in: rainbow flags line the Passeig de la Ribera, parties spill onto the Promenade, and even family-friendly outdoor concerts echo across the bay.
Sitges is renowned as a tolerant, artsy enclave (once home to Salvador Dalí and friends) where “it’s always been easier to be gay” than elsewhere in Catalunya. The official Sitges Pride website calls itself “Europe’s Pride by the Sea,” inviting everyone to join the parade and party by the ocean.
Sitges Pride parade route
The highlight of Sitges Pride is the Sunday Pride Parade on June 8th. The route snakes along the waterfront promenade from Kansas Restaurant (on Passeig Marítim) past the iconic church at La Fragata, looping back to end at the Calipolis Hotel/Gay Village intersection.
Thousands of spectators come out for this free, festive march with decorated floats, upbeat music, and rainbows everywhere. Pride organizers note that floats start gathering by mid-afternoon so fans can stake out a spot early. After the parade finishes, the fiesta continues right at the waterfront Village – the Sunday afternoon Tea Dance is a massive outdoor after-party, the biggest open-air party of the summer. Families and allies are welcome too!
What else happens at Sitges Pride?
Aside from the parade, Sitges Pride features an extensive program of events hosted in the Pride Village, which serves as the hub of the celebration. Sitges Pride’s seaside Pride Village opens every night with a lineup of free drag shows, tribute concerts and dance parties. The celebration kicks off on Wednesday June 4 with Drag Domination, a spectacular open-air drag revue featuring stars like Lady Diamond and Mary Mac.
Each night has a theme of pop icon tributes. On Thursday, June 5, you can dance to hits by Whitney Houston and Robbie Williams (world DJ Tony Lewis is headlining). Friday, June 6, brings dual tributes to Katy Perry and Cher, so grab a drink and sing along under the stars.
The big Saturday night (June 7) goes all-out with three star acts: Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue tribute bands share the stage. Finally Sunday closes with a P!nk tribute headlining the grand finale. All of these shows are free for the public at the Pride Village stage (VIP tickets give you front-row access and bar privileges).
Another iconic Sitges Pride event is the High Heel Race, a hilarious drag relay with big rewards. It returns on Saturday, June 7 at 6:30 PM, right by the Gay Village on the Passeig Marítim. Anyone in heels can register and dash down a mini obstacle course in drag. Prizes include VIP tickets and drink vouchers. The race is followed by the dancefloor thumping late into the night at clubs like Privilege and Parrots.
Beach Parties and Daytime Events
Pride in Sitges means partying under the sun too. The town’s beaches are legendary – there are 22 beaches around Sitges, three known as gay-friendly (one in town center and two naturist stretches). The main gay beach is Playa de la Bassa Rodona, at the foot of Hotel Calipolis, which fills with rainbow flags, chiringuitos and speedos during Pride week. Don’t be shy to take a dip or lounge on the gay section of La Bassa Rodona by day, it’s all part of the fun!
Meanwhile the daytime party calendar has its own highlights. On Thursday, June 5, the legendary Pride Pool Party takes place at a private villa (with a shuttle bus provided). DJs, gogo dancers, and sunbeds await at a secret location.
On Friday, June 6, catch the Sunset Pool Tea Dance on a rooftop terrace at Hotel MIM for cocktails by the pool. And on Saturday, June ,7 a playful Drag Brunch at Le Patio restaurant serves up drag performances and brunch specials before the afternoon beach time.
If you need a break from all-night clubbing, these poolside and beachside parties are the perfect way to recharge with sangrias and sunshine. The Pride Village itself is steps from the sand, so popping back to your hotel or the beach is easy whenever you want.
